Biography

Eileen T. Newsome, founder of Energetic Touch Massage, is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) with a degree in Occupational Studies. She is board certified by The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and is a graduate from the prestigious Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in New York City. The Swedish Institute is widely acknowledged as the nation's premiere training ground for massage therapy including the science of neurology; physiology; pathology; kinesiology and the application of Swedish and Shiatsu Massage.

Ms. Newsome is an active member in the professional massage community. Her accreditations include: member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), former member of the New Jersey AMTA Sports Massage Team, Reiki Master, Certified Personal Trainer (American Council of Exercise) and Certified Baby's First Massage Instructor. The focus of Ms. Newsome's work is teaching canine massage to professional breeders-handlers and dog owners as well as massage therapy for people, and teaching Baby's First Massage classes to health care professionals and parents .

Ms. Newsome is an avid animal lover and was inspired to create the Good Dog Massage DVD by her dog Cooper and his delight in receiving massage.

"What has driven me in my life is massage and my love of animals; especially dogs and horses. The birth of the Good Dog Massage DVD stemmed from my desire to share the canine massage experience with the layperson so that anyone with a dog can massage their pet at home, whenever they want and as often as they want -- whether it's a large dog or a small dog, a family pet or a champion show dog," says Ms. Newsome.

Ms. Newsome's career included working in New York City as a Vice President at one of the nation's largest financial institutions, JP Morgan Chase. A resident of New Jersey and Florida, Ms. Newsome is an outdoors enthusiast, a mother and a grandmother.
